Wednesday Stone Arch Ride

Published by mikedelaney under LSC Rides

The Stone Arch hill climb will officially kick off tomorrow April 22. The route leaves from the down town Minneapolis side of the Stone Arch. The group usually congregates below in the car parking lot. We ride through St Paul doing many of the hills available.

In the past the ride has started at 5:30. How much of a hardship would it cause if the ride started at 5PM? By starting earlier we should be able to get in a few extra miles/climbs.

I would like to start tomorrows ride at 5PM. (Unless I hear this is not going to work for the majority of guys then we’ll start at 5:30PM.)

Like the last two years, I’ll be at the Opus Tuesday Night Worlds volunteering my time. I just wanted to let everyone know in case there is still a need for volunteers.

Saturday, 3-29 Ride

Published by paulrennert under LSC Rides

OK, let’s try this again:
When: 9:30 AM
Where: Baker Road and Minnetonka Blvd. There’s plenty of parking if you’re planing to drive in.
What: 3-4 16 mile loops through Medina, each with 8 Durand size hills
If you’re trying to hook up with us en route here are the approximate times we’ll hit these route markers: Hunter & 24 @ 10:00, Willow & Hamel @ 10:20
Trainings Camp is next week; so this’ll be a good trial run to test your fitness.
The main objective of this ride will be to have alternating leaders set a very hard tempo up the hills and the rest of the group to sprint for the KOMs. There will be a general regrouping after each effort. On RT 24 will work on a smooth paceline rotation with each rider pulling for 15″-60″  depending on level of fitness.
Hope to see all of you,
Paul
