Training camp tip
So here’s a couple tips.
- Get you bike tuned up now. Don’t wait until the Monday prior to camp to bring your bike in. That shifter you forgot about over the winter, or that chain, brake pads, or maybe that painful saddle, could take a few day’s to get. Go to the Bicycle Chain and get fixed up.
- Gears – ride what you like, but, we do a good chunk of climbing. You will not regret having at least a 25 on your rear cluster. Some will even have a 26 or 27.
- Wheels – spare wheels are appreciated. However, if you run a unique set up (i.e. 9 speed, Campy, 23 rims) you should probably bring at least a spare rear if you have one.
One last thing, please don’t anticipate riding a fixie, single speed, mountain bike, or something less then your normal summer road bike. We all love those kinds of rides but they simply can’t logistically be supported.
